Recently, while writing a book on how writers can use ChatGTP to enhance their creativity, I needed a way to design a better book cover. A second book is about how older folks are left behind in many ways in our current society, and I needed a photo to create a meaningful cover. ChapGTP was also the perfect vehicle for designing a free, meaningful photo if you know how to do it. (Viola...title for another book) It took me five minutes to create this photo on ChatGTP. All I had to do was tell it precisely what I wanted. I just "talked " with it. Many in the writing and art field will hate me for going in this direction, but two facts remain.
First, AI is here and it isn't going away. Its creative possibilities are endless.
Second, millions of older folks are left behind regarding technology and skills. AI can bring new light into fading lives. At 76 years old, I understand that. One of my goals is to develop books and classes that help seniors "catch up" and find a new usefulness in their lives.
Will AI affect the lives of those who make a living being creative in the writing and art world? Yep. Can AI improve the lives of millions of seniors in their golden years? Absolutely. Both will happen, and there isn't anything anyone can do to change it. As Dylan said, "The Times, they are a-changin'."
